The "S" and the "D" probably need to be captiol letters but it is academic.
If your name, phone number and/or address is listed in a phone book then it
is on a CD available at your favorite software source. "Phone Search USA"
published by Delorme has every listing in every phone book in the USA or so
they claim. But even though these numbers are readily available it just
seems like a courtesy to the individual to let them have the option of
putting it on the newsgroup or using a private communication. The obvious
exception is where the number is already available in an advertisment.
Although we were originally disturbed by "Phone Search USA" it has been most
helpful on our travels. You can find phone numbers and address for
campgrounds, grocery stores, gas stations as well as friends numbers that you
left at home.
