Daimler SP250s came to the US. A friend of mine had one on Long Island. As
I was getting into Bugeyes in the early '70s, he was doing a frame up on
his Daimler and converting to a Chevy 327. In fact, I was proud that the
heaater core I didn't need on my race car went into the Daimler for
additional engine cooling. You will also see them occasionally in vintage
racing and at British car shows. Not too often, but they are there. The all
aluminum, hemi, V8 was hard to get parts for, that's why my friend went to
the 327.
