Glen,

While diassembling the front suspension this evening,
I looked at the bar on my Fprod car and there is no
backing plate. Just a thick (maybe 3/32") washer on
both sides where the Heim joint bolts thru. The bar is
3/4 inch diameter. There are no signs of any
deflection of the control arm either.
