Kevin,

I've never seen the Smoothline product in person (only photos) but they
look pretty good and are similar looking to the original MKI hardtop. I'm
not aware of any others currently made for the Bugeye. The blue hardtop you
refer to is a factory style that was available for the MKIII and IV Sprites
(II and III Midgets) though they are not interchangeable between Marques
(back edge is slight ly different depending on body style) and won't fit a
Bugeye. I don't know for sure, but Peter C. might have one for a Bugeye,
check with him. Your best bet is to find an original MKI factory top if you
can. They probably range from $150 to $500 and usually need some degree of
restoration. You might also try posting a "parts wanted" on the Midget and
Sprite Club web site. http://www.mgcars.org.uk/midgetspriteclub/
