List:

An associate is selling his '74 Midget to make room for his other toys.
Please pass this on to those who might be interested.

For Sale: 1974 Midget (RWA), 1275, mileage unknown, clear title,
currently registered.

Body: Good looking straight car, round wheel arches. No indication of
major repair or bondo. The body was recently stripped and painted (Tan
but looks more Ivory). I cannot locate any rust in the body or floor.
Glass is clear and uncracked, window winders do not bind. Newer door and
trunk seals. Chrome bumpers in good shape; ugly big overriders removed
and replaced with older small chrome style ones (ugly ones go with the
car). Newer Black top with clear windows. Boot cover in good shape.

Engine / Gearbox: Partially detoxed. Smog pump in place, and I think it
still works. Needs a charcoal can. Runs well, and has plenty of scoot
but I think the carbs need tuned properly. No major oil leaks, just the
usual minor drips and seepage. New stainless steel exhaust. First gear
is a bit noisy; otherwise, shifts and holds gears fine. Newer clutch.
Clutch MC rebuilt, and new slave cylinder installed.

Electricals. Everything works. Doesn't seem to have any DPO bodges.
Newer battery (8 months old). Lucas alternator in good working
condition.

Interior: Clean. Autumn Leaf with Black carpeting, the dash is
uncracked, and all the guages work. The seats are not ripped but their
webbing is starting to sag. Motorola am/fm radio that works. Panels
look good, but have some small stains in a few places. Trim screws are
brass or brass plated.

Suspension, Brakes, Tires: Shocks seem good, not leaking. Realigned
front end and overhauled rack. No sagging or leaning. Could use new
rear spring axle pads which will probably be installed shortly. Rebuilt
brake MC and flushed hydraulics six months ago (DOT3). Stops w/o binding
or hanging, tracks straight. No odd wear patterns in tires. Tires are
(I think) 165/70 13's in good shape, lots of tread; not new, but less
than 10k on them, I'd guess. Rostyle wheels (need painted) w/new trim
rings; hubcaps are present but need new emblems.

Asking $5,600; will consider offers. Located near Council Bluffs, Iowa /
Omaha, Nebraska. Delivery might be arranged.

The car is not mine (unfortunately; these RWA's are beautiful cars), but
I'll be the point of contact on it. I have worked on the vehicle -- been
over, under, and around it -- and I am satisfied that its a pretty decent
dependable vehicle. It would make a good daily driver for someone that
wants a running car that can be driven while finishing it up. It's not
perfect, nor completely original, but it wouldn't take much work to make
it a damned nice Spridget.

I hope to get and scan some photos of it in the next couple of weeks that
can be sent to interested persons. Right now I'm preparing for finals,
so as you can imagine, time will be tight for the next two weeks.
