That bottom edge on the median saved my rear end big time a bunch-o-years ago.
Fell asleep at the wheel driving my mother's car home from my ex's place on
Long Island at 3am. Car drifted to the median, and then rode up onto it
(parallel i.e. just the tires). The jar woke me up and I swerved back onto the
road. THank God there were no cars near me.
THe ex-gf always had a cold can of coke or pepsi waiting for my return trip
ever since. She was one of the better ones....... Wonder what she's doing
nowadays.
