Bob, Annice, Listers,
I live in the southern tip of San Bernardino, California. Every 3-4
months on the street that runs adjacent to my housing tract, the authorities
construct a smog check roadblock
and a Highway Patrolman gestures in cars that are older than 4 years. You
don't need a smog check for the first four years of a new cars life now in
California. This last happened about 3 or 4 months ago. I don't know if they
test smog exempt cars or even just look under the bonnet (sic) hood for smog
equipment that is supposed to be there. This has been happening for the last 2
years.
