How about mid engine performance in a bike, Honda's new sports bike, 929RR
boasts 150 HP on a 375 lb bike.  I think there's some real vroom, vroom, on
that one!

Also not a problem if it is rear engined.  But, would the car only go 
backward?  Did those planes have a variable pitch prop so they could back
up? 
 And how much would I have to jack up the suspension so the prop doesn't
dig 
holes in the street?
