I just got a quick education on why stainless is not necessarily the best
bolt for every part of a spridget. I had no idea that SS was comparatively
'soft'. Thank you both, gentlemen, for the information. I'll be sure to
use appropriately hardened bolts at the crucial points. The death of the
RRB due to the steering arm bolt failure was quite a wake up call. While I
want the car I'm caring for to look good for as long as possible, I'd also
like it to be dependable and safe.
