ok gang i am interested in locating 3 new fuelpumps of the tick-tick
solenoid type. they were originally an ac type 12v-ep12 part number, now
discontinued.
later stewart warner marketed the exact same type under 12v-235a part
number.
after ac allowed the patent to run out onthe design dupree, fawcet, and
walbro manufactured an exact bolt in replacement for the original ac design.
i am unable to find a parts house who carries any of these lines to get
their part numbers and availability. i do know carter has also
discontinued this design also. stewart warner has not graced my request
with an answer after near a week passing, so i am not counting on their
assistance as of this writing. if anyone out there has any parts houses
that might carry these other lines i would apreciate knowing if they still
list the direct replacement type pump. i have 2 vehicles that this type of
pump is hard plumbed in and am searching for a spare for one(bugeye) and 2
replacements for the other (sports racer) which has wimpy fuel pressure
coming from both tanks.

the pump looked cylindrical with a positive threaded connection on the
cottom of the housing and has a top plate reatined by 4 scerws and the inlet
and outlet segment is on top retained by another 4 screws. on the rear of
the main housing are 2 threaded holes for either direct mouniting or
attachment of a mounting bracket. if actual measurements are needed i can
go out and measure one for height and diameter of main housing.

possibly you might have an old used one laying around from a parts car or
one of those dpo's spare parts boxes????

if these pumps have really been discontinued, i am considering buying used
ones to salvage good diaphrams from to repair my pumps i have now.

thanks for the help!
chuck.

tried national, napa, autozone so far. all have superceeded to a new style
inline type of pump which is not a direct replacement for a hard plumbed
aplication............c. :)
