David,
If the bolt spacing on the master cylinders is a verical 2.25 inches you
can get new Tilton master cylinders for about $55-$60 each they come in
sizes from 5/8 to 1 1/8. I just installed two of them in my 100-6 rather
than the original $100 & $160 clutch and brake masters. You can see them
at www.racesearch.com under manufacturer Tilton. I have seen the setup
you describe on a few cars and it works pretty good.
