Well I don't think Churchill said the gun thing. Aside from his famous we
shall fight them... speech, there is another incident that was quoted of him.
You need a 'Churchill' accent for this really but I'll type without it.
Late one evening Churchill, after drinking heavily got out of taxi and
stumbling, knocked over/bumped into some woman. The woman was not best
pleased and said in an indignant voice. You Mr Churchill are drunk, how
disgraceful (or words to that effect). His reply was: Madam I may be drunk,
but in the morning I will be sober whereas you madam are ugly and in the
morning you will still be ugly.
