Hi Spridget Folks. I've just joined the list - don't have an A-H yet, but
we're looking for a frogeye. I say "we" because last fall my wife Susan said
to me "sweety, I think we should try to find a frogeye Sprite". (Yes, I'm a
lucky man - those of you so inclined may be suitable jealous). ;-)
I'm not new to British cars, my first car was a TR3 (31 years ago) and we
currently own a 1964 Jaguar EType roadster in beautiful condition (we restored
it from a wreck), and a 1965 Ginetta G4 long-term project car. We also own a
few non-British machines (1961 Unimog, 1999 Miata, 1999 Vehicross, 2000
Trooper) and my buddy's 1957 TR3 is occupying more than it's share of my
workshop right now...
But I've never owned a Sprite, or any A-H for that matter. I've always
admired the Sprite, especially the frogeye - small, light nimble vehicles are
a favorite - those of you who know what the Ginetta is will understand.
So, if anyone knows of a nice frogeye for sale, especially in my area (I'm
located in southern New Hampshire, USA) I'd be very interested in hearing
about it. I'm not looking for a bargain, or a show queen - we're hoping to
find a very nice driver, and put a lot of spring-summer-fall miles on it. I
don't want a project car (I've got enough of those already!) but one that just
needed a paint job to be good might be OK.
I hope I haven't rambled on too much,
Pete Wrisley
