Hello everyone. Well, I am down to one lbc. The 1976 Spitfire body shell was
sent to the junk yard to be crushed. I offered it to people on the Spitfire
list for free and still no takers, oh well. My 1979 Spitfire that I was
driving I sold to my mother. Between buying parts to keep the Spitfire on the
road and trying to stock parts that I needed to begin work on the Sprite, the
expense was killing me. So I had the choice of selling the Spitfire or my
Sprite or my T/A. Needless to say the Spitfire didn't stand a chance. If it
came down between my Sprite or my T/A, I'm sorry to say the T/A would have to
go. But anyway, the engine, as some of you may remember, is in pieces
awaiting a rebuild. The tranny is out also. I took the side cover off the
tranny to expose the rods and the first one just barley wiggled. I don't
think it moved a 1/16th of a inch. The rest of them felt nice and tight. By
spring I hope to begin the rebuild and have it for the most part running by
summer. Just need to find someone to do the bodywork. I would try myself but
I have never done it before and this car will be going into car shows when it
is done. I just want it done right the first time.

Well that's about it for now. I still have my first car and always will have
it. Talk to everyone later.
