It is in fact, IMHO a HOS (heap of ........)  It looks cheap and garish and 
look a cheap kit car.  I have seen a few of these over a number of years and 
they just plain look horrid.  As someone who has also seen a big Healey that 
was custom modified (went down like a lead balloon at a Healey meet) there is 
still no comparasion.  You need to perhaps, actually see the car to 
appreciate how awful it is.

Now, the new Mini is a car that looks just right.

As for Beamer, if they are going to resurrect any name, it will be one they 
do own (and they cannot use the Healey name any more than Austin could after 
the agreement expired) it will  RILEY and they have said as much.  I think it 
is just the ill-informed non-motoring or amateur motoring press that 
speculate about a return of Austin-Healey (in complete ignorance of the 
history of the Healey name).
