Copper brake lines are illegal in some states.
Copper being a very soft metal, *could* fail if snagged or bust under
extreme pressure.
Copper/nickle brake pipes would be my choice or the aluminum/steel
compounds that resist rust and are still soft enough to bend and flare.

Copper is probably fine but think about a panic stop, you slam on the
brake pedal and possibly pop a brake pipe.
Just a thought.
