By now I have way too many lil cars, mostly Brit, and all at or less
than 2000 lbs. (And many beyond my level of maintenance.) I must have
paid U Haul at least half the price of a trailer, by now. Then there
is the hassle of dealing with them, not to mention reserving one at a
distant location and arriving on a tight schedule, to find no trailer
available and they never heard of me. You see where this is
going...... I saw a purpose built LBC trailer, small and built of
aluminum at a car meet. Very cool, but the owner was loath to tell me
how much it cost. That means too much, I guess. But what about a
little steel one? I visualize this with an electric "wench" up front,
with a cargo box on the tongue. Painted to match...... oh well.
(More stuff in the back yard to terrorize the neighbors.) Does this
make sense? Anyone got one just built for LBC's? What does it weigh
empty? Are brakes necessary? How cheap could this be? (I already
have the wench!)
