I totally agree.  The wife's RX7 was repainted 8-10 years ago, and it looked 
great!  Now the clearcoat is peeling, and the grey paint underneath 
fading...but only where it is peeling.  You can't make it look anything like 
acceptable with a compound and wax job (hush Ed).

I intend to get her a new paint job, but I'm worried the clearcoat will 
continue to peel after a sanding and repaint. 

Suggestions?  This is her car and I really don't want a total strip job (on 
the car)...just an economical paint job for a driver...
