Fellow LisTRs -
I don't know if anyone out there is interested or not, but I ran across a
1975 TR7 for sale in an auto yard. I'm not interested in FHCs, but for those
of you who are, here's a brief description:
1) EXTERIOR: light green paint is chipping off to reveal a darker blue
paint. Don't know if it is original color or not. I didn't notice any
profound dents, only superficial ones. Surface rust on roof near sides, rust
on rest of body, but I didn't notice any rot-through. The trunk was locked
and there was no key on the key-ring.
2) INTERIOR: dirty. The dash looked to be in good but weathered shape.
I can't remember the carpets, but the seats looked whole. The door panels
looked okay. I can't remember the 1condition of the headliner.
3) ENGINE: it looks to be mostly there. In the car itself, there were 2
small boxes of parts containing some minor engine parts and hoses and clamps
and screws, etc.
The car is going for $200, marked down from $300 and before that $500. It
appears to have been there for some time. There were some Vicky Brit
catalogues from 1991/1992 or so. Has a master cylinder rebuild kit (or the
whole unit... not sure), Haynes manual, etc.
This car is being sold whole... for an ambitious restoration or for parts.
If anyone wants me to take another look at it, let me know. All 4 tires are
flat. If you would rather, the yard's name is Levieille's Auto Parts. They
are located in Somers, CT, and their phone number is 860-749-3705
Thanks and NFI,
Red Hansen
