It's technically too big for UPS, and if you send it by truck freight, and 
describe it as car parts the cost may be prohibitive.  Send it as "scrap 
metal" and it'll go cheaper.  Not too much chance they could harm it.  But if 
they lose it, you'll only get paid for scrap iron.

I'd chance it, but make sure your tape your name, address, phone and delivery 
infor securly on the bar...in several places.
