This sounds very much like mine sounded on two separate occasions, and on 
both occasions it turned out to be a loose flywheel. Bummer.  Meant removing 
the engine, getting new flywheel bolts, and torquing them up with the blue 
locktite.  One way to locate the sound is to get a mechanic's stethoscope and 
try to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.  If it is from the bell 
housing or rear engine area, good chance the flywheel is flopping.
