Sorry to hear it didn't work.
We are pretty happy with ours.  Of course we can put up the windows.

But it still does help when the windows are down, as my problem was that 
the wind beat on my left shoulder so bad it caused me a lot of pain (old 
age...arthritis....ya know) for 2 or 3 days after a trip.  This way it 
doesn't beat my shoulder.....and we don't mind the side wind that we get.

I feel bad it didn't work  for you guys.
