I have posted a few pictures from the just completed Healey club gathering
in Grants Pass Oregon.

The first day of the trip up was quite long. We went up CA Hiway 1 all the
way to Benbow CA which is about 70 miles north of Fort Bragg. 11 hours of
cold and wind.

We meet up with Jan & Steve Lehman in their Bugeye in Benbow and spent the
night at the Historic Benbow Inn. Pretty nice place but if you stay there,
eat elsewhere.

On to Grants Pass on Monday. Got rained on (a little) and stopped for an
hour on 199 between Crescent City CA and Grants Pass OR while construction
crews worked on a rock slide.

The Bugeye ran perfect all the way but could not handle the 95 degree temps
around Grants Pass. It was ok as long as we could move over 30 MPH but less
than that and it over heated.

WFO Herb from the Spridget list along with his son Dustin, took us on a nice
drive (after sundown so that mine would not overheat :-)) As Peggy said in
her note, I think the guys enjoyed it more than the ladies did.

We blasted back on I5. Left the motel parking lot at 5:15 Friday morning and
pulled into Salinas at 3:15. 10 Hours on the nose. About 550 miles with 4
food/gas/etc....stops. Most of the time at 70-75 MPH with occasional bursts
to 85-90.

The outside temperature was in the 100's south of Sacramento and the Bugeye
ran at 170-175 degrees as long as we kept moving. Had to dodge a couple of
traffic jams after we left I5 to cut back over to the coast on 152.

Good times were had by all.
