Just returned from three hours with new guy Bob Kansa in his very impressive
garage, surrounded by cool cars and other assorted cool stuff! The verdict:
He's good people!
Lots of good beer in his garage refrigerator, lots of spares in his garage
attic, a Big Healey race car under cover, a Ginetta (with Lotus twin-cam!)
ready for restoration this winter and the cleanest track and street-legal
Bugeye in these parts, fresh from running at Grattan last weekend! And a
breadtruck/tow vehicle converted for spares/tool storage, motorhome duty AND
as host vehicle for a recent bachelorette party! Thirteen bachelorettes!
We had just finished beer #1 when an actual hot chick in short shorts showed
up to work on her car in his garage! She's on his race crew -- you should
see her work the torque wrench! When she needed a wheel chock, I asked if he
had any cats around for that purpose, and they both readily agreed that such
duty would be worthy of any feline!
I am NOT making this up!
It's like every red-blooded man's dream-come-true over there! Bob is so cool
that I had him autograph a leftover poster from Grattan for me! And you
should see the pics on his garage wall!
Let's just say I have a new hero!
