That's interesting.  I've had 90 weight in my 69 ribcase for the last ten
years without any problems.  I've read of the "dangers" of gear oil but have
been too lazy to replace it with the proper oil.  So far it's worked fine,
although some day I have to rebuild it as I've never had any synchro on
second gear.
