Most Esteemed Larry,
Well, it does sort of fall within my repertoire, as we
do turbines, and I do employ fans in many of my system
designs. However, you are correct - I have
turbomachinery specialists I rely on heavily. I do
have an idea of the answer, and it may not be
intuitive - but I will save the lecture until I
consult my "Fan Engineering" 500(!) page book on fan
design that is the ultimate authority on this subject.
