I went for a shakedown cruise on Saturday
First few miles everything was just fine, then started to misfire
Limped home and started checking things
cleaned plugs, very sooty after limping home
cleaned points
check spark at points, -big nasty, splashy spark
valve gap ok, carbs adjusted
Temp OK, Timing OK.
let cool down completely and went out again
Ran great for a few minutes then started misfiring again
What's happening and what do I do to fix it?
