I agree with you Larry. First gear on the five speed with a 4.22 is a waste
of time. Might as well pull away in 2nd. I will have my 3.7 and LSD in
shortly

I don't understand all of the complaints with the 5-speed and the 3.9. I'm
actually considering swapping my 3.9 for a 3.7. I can pull strong up past
100 (and yes, my speedo is dead on) with the 3.9. Acceleration from a dead
stop is sufficient for anything but drag racing or autocross. It will spin
the tires if asked to do so.
