Midget Racers is correct on this. Forgot
to bring this point up.

Daniel Stapleton made the small breather
hole in his belt drive timing cover a little larger and he devotes a
page to this in his book.

Using the old mechanical fuel pump take-
off for a crankcase breathing device in any
case is the way to go, as Nick states, whether you open up the timing
cover
breather or not, especially in a "tuned"
or "upgraded" unit.

And, I would take advantage of modern
technology and use the Kevlar belt
instead of the rubber one supplied with
the belt drive. Kevlar should last a lot
longer, for sure.
