A few years ago, Handyman magazine had a killer workbench plan that used
stock lumber and you could extend as far as you wanted. It had bocoups of
storage. I built it in my shop and it has been wonderful--even has lazy
susan trays built out of plywood to hold all those cans of paint, remover,
and other small items that seem to clutter everything. Lots of electric
outlets along the front, and the front edge is routed for that nice and
attractive plastic edging. If you are interested, I will see if I still have
the plan (I should as I am an olympic-grade packrat) and scan it for you if
you would like.
