I have had success with Lexan (brand) acrylic sheets plexiglass type stuff. It
bends and curves too. Cuts with a jig saw and you can sand the edges. Available 
at
better home centers and hardware stores. Glass shops probably carry it too.

Make a template using large card stock or cardboard.
The beauty of Lexan is you can cut it again if it's too big.
But if it's too small.......
