Sprites from HAN9/77591 and Midgets from GAN4/66226 were originally equipped
with the 3.9 diff. This beginning in December 1968. Who knows what a PO
might have done in the '71 you refer to; it's advisable to inspect the diff
itself to confirm its ratio. The numbers on the top right of the diff casing
tell the tale, unless someone has changed the pinion and crown wheel inside
the casing. So, the only certain method is to count teeth.

The 3.7 diff went into Midgets from GAN6/200001 in August 1977. These seem a
little harder to come by.
