Found the problem with whiny rear end. When I changed
out the rear brake hose, the steel line that runs
through tranny tunnel somehow rotated and was rubbing
against driveshaft. A little bit of repositioning and
the whining/howl/nasty noise stuff is gone. Now all I
need to worry about is that I weakened thesidewall of
the brakeline rubbing against the driveshaft. Can't
see any shiny spots but that's not an easy place to
look at.

Amazing how fast Bugsy can go on jack stands and how
quickly he can get there. Thanks to all for the help.
