It looks as though it can be done if you have a suitable donor car. From the
outside, it appears that you would do best to exchange the whole doghouse.
That is the hood, fenders and valance. The valance has the mounts for the
rubber lips on the late models and the fenders have their turn signal lamps
at a different height. The hood is probably the same on both models but I am
not sure.

I have thought about doing this conversion but wouldn't stop there. I'd have
to swap out the drive train too only because I don't care for the Spitfire
engine.
