John Deikis - Couldn't agree more.

Can't agree with John Carey though. I've only ever broken 1 diff in racing
and
that diff was suspect *and* we use standing starts (5000rpm, drop the clutch
and launch it!).

If you have a good 2nd hand diff, and you have these wimpy rolling starts,
then
you shouldn't have any *major* diff problems.

...'course, another way to look at it is that this logic can apply to most
mechanical components of old Brit racers. And the conclusion would be, why
not just race the RX7 rear end....with the Rx7 attached? Cheaper than a
bugeye, faster, you don't get wet in the rain, the junk yards still have
lots of them, and when you crash one, you don't really give a shit!

Ahhh, racing should never be overly logical.
