Nice post. Could not agree with you more.
Italians, Jews, Negroes, Native Americans, Irishmen
or whatever. ALL our peoples have "BTDT", in one way, form or another.
In WW2 we fought bitter campaigns against the Japanes and Germans. We
also led the charge to "rebuild" and
become peaceful neighbors afterwards.
Now the Arabs and/or Muslims
are going to take a beating for the actions
of "extremists" among them. And perhaps, this is as it should
be....perhaps
a general and universal lack of respect
for those who would target, kill and maim
innocent civilians (a "way" which is obviously nothing to be proud of)
will force the "group", as a whole, to "clean up their own house" and
rid themselves of these
"diseased" minorities among them?
And lest anyone get the wrong idea here,
I work alongside Arabs and/or Muslims
and have no problems with them, at all.
We discuss the Palestian and general
Middle East situation openly and without
predjudice. I like getting their points of
view....it continues to be a learning situation for me.
