Hi Dave.

Glass bead the wheel, protecting any sensitive areas.
Vee out the crack and fill with either an epoxy called PC7/PC8 or a good
body filler.
Prime with epoxy
Wait a while for shrinkage
Prime with a good urethane surfacer, use a urethane spot putty if there are
pinholes
Wet sand and prime till it's as smooth as you think it should be, finish
with 600 paper
Wait some more
Paint with black urethane
Enjoy
