HA! Face it, if you own a Midget, you ARE some kind of

nut!

Well, that's a given. But.....in reference to nuts. In
the process of finding bolts to plug the holes(air
pollution device) in the head of my Sprite I find
another surprise from the DPO.I mentioned before that
he used Frankensteinian bolts to plug the holes. I
removed one and took it with me when I purchased the
allen bolts to replace them. Nut guy: "Oh yea. Those
are definately 11mm." So I purchased 4. I know, I
know, never question the veracity of statements by
list people when compared to nut people. When I got
them home an put them in I discovered why the DDDDDPO
used sylicone to seal them. Wobble, wobble, wobble.
Too loose. Back to square one. Since the nut store is
closed on Saturday (nut holiday?) I stopped at the
local friendly hardware store. Bought a 1 inch 7/16X20
to check the hole in the head. Doesn't fit. I think it
would with a little pressure but don't want to risk
buggering(in the USA sense not the UK sense) the holes
in the head.

I think I need a short course in nut and bolt thread
sizes and uses. I have a bolt/nut gauge but nothing
fits closely in it.

I think I will need to get a 7/16X20 thread chaser and
clean up the holes.

Any recommendations?

cheers, bill b.
