Just get rid of it. But you have to reroute or eliminate the return fuel
line to the tank.
Early tank will do it or a cap on the nipple from the evap system.
You will see the pipe right next to the filler hose inside the trunk.
At the carbs, just pull off the hoses, they should not leak, if they do,
you have to adjust the floats.
The early cars just had the overflow spill out onto the exhaust
manifold. Intelligent design huh? But I have never heard of one bursting
into flames and I have had my share of fuel leaking on the manifold.
