The starter cable isn't a problem if you remove the knob and cable, trim
it down to where the end is good, and then cut the end off the sheath so
when you put the cable back in it sticks out the right amount.  Then the
only question is, if it is still long enough.  This also works for the
choke and throttle cables as well.

Also, my S (start cable) the cable is shorter than the sheath, so no
good. Do they make replacements or do i have to mcgyver a new cable onto
that S knob? ANy advice?
