Finally reassembling the 948 (after how many months? Oh how time flies).
Got the crank in and the pistons. Put the oil pump in, but the back plate
won't fit over it!
It's the correct pin-drive pump, and fits fine itself. But the "bumpout"
on the backplate won't fit over it.
Is this a common problem? Do I need to be more "persuasive" or are there
different pumps for this?
