PerTronix or Crane (the old Allison) seems to be the way to go,
"electronically
speaking" in the ignition department these
modern days.

I have used both and can state from experience they both work just fine.
The PerTronix "ll" if available for your
application gives more "bounce to the ounce" as it has dwell
compensation for
more of a "quality" spark in the higher
rpm ranges that guys like you seem to
fequent! If a PerTronix "ll" is N/A for
your application, I would check whether
the Crane "3000" has this feature and go
with same if it does, rather than the
standard PerTronix assuming again, high
rpm use.

I will look in my spare parts bin and see
it I have an old blue coil hanging around...
doubt it but, you never know.
