I am planning to replace the rear springs on my 72 with a set from a 71
parts car. What should I intend to do to these springs prior to
installation? They are physically intact and were doing a fine job on the 71
prior to removal. No, there is no paint on them. Yes, all of the clips
appear to be there and intact. Should I take it to a spring shop and have
them cleaned up? re-arched? new sliders between the leaves? Or just slap
them in and hope for the best?
