Lon,

I understand that the "organ pedal" style accelerator will sometimes
stick if mashed real hard.  Most racers remove them (particularly since
racers are big pedal mashers) and replace them with a hanging pedal for
that reason.  The 1500 pedals are a direct replacement and hang down
instead of being hinged on the bottom.

You do need the proper number of springs (3 as I recall), but you might
also think about replacing that pedal.
