Allan,
I feel your pain, brother. I was just in contact with Moss, about my need
of a left, RWA inner, rear wheel arch. Moss told me "that particular part
was not available at this time". They failed to mention anything about the
fact that BMH has them in stock (I e-mailed BMH Ltd. and they confirmed the
part number for me and YES, they DO have it in stock) and that, as a BMH
licensed supplier, they could easily order one for me. Since they are a BMH
supplier, they damn sure DO know EXACTLY how much the part will cost, as
well as what it will cost to get it here.
I hold Moss Motors beneath contempt and Victoria British a notch or two
below Moss. I only call Moss if I'm desperate and I NEVER call Victoria
British. I've got a local source, who can, usually, get me whatever I need
(although it's been 13 years since I've done any Spridget body work). I
prefer to deal with The Roadster Factory for all of my MGB sheet metal
needs. Besides the fact that they are good people, who genuinely TRY to take
good care of their customers, they list BOTH genuine BMH and aftermarket
sheet metal in their catalog and will sell you whichever YOU, THE CUSTOMER,
wishes to buy. With Moss, you order from a catalog that does not specify
what the origin of the part is and you get whatever Moss feels like selling
you. That thoroughly pisses me off!
I'm going to see if TRF will order the part for me and I will, again, urge
TRF to get into the Spridget parts biz. They've told me that it will be the
next line they expand into. However, they don't want to start until they
have the resources (personnel and financial) to do it right.

I am in need of a right side inner apron (attaches to the wheel arch) and is
not available in the Moss or Victoria British catalogs. It is part of the
inner body panels. A picture without a part number is on page 102 of current
Moss
catalog (attaches to item number 1, wheel arch) They said they could order
one
from England with unknown delivery and cost. I prefer something more
concrete. It looks too hard to fabricate so the next option does someone
have a parts
car that might have a good one that I could purchase for my restoration.
Love
to hear from someone.
Thanks Allan
