Hello spridgets,

Did the ABFM. a real delight. only FIVE box sprites, but a
plethora of BEs. all nicely turned out. more metropolitans
than i have ever seen in one place. the organizers said
friday that they had over ONE HUNDRED more entrants than last
year, and that was before the day of the show registerers....

at the swap meet, i picked up a couple of springs for the
pedal box. NEVER had them before. Heck, i didn't even know
they were supposed to be there for the first 5 years i had
the car. sure makes a difference in the pedal feel! stiffened
up that brake pedal, fer sure! ...

well, now the clutch and brake pedal are no longer EVEN as
they hang down! DO'h. one of the fine listers who attended
the meet pointed out that the clutch had too much free play
in the rod, at the pedal box. said all i had to do was loosen
the retainer nut, and spin the rod out. seems simple enough,
but the nut on MY rod is completely worn out, so its more
like a collar. completely rounded. as i fiddled i recalled
that when i had the master cyliner rebuild, the rod was
completely frozen to the split yoke, so i guess it's time to
replace that rod, if i want it adjusted. ...

now the question...... can this be done WITHOUT removing the
master cylinder from the pedal box? can removing the pedal
box, (if necessary) be done without removing the brake and
clutch lines? ... can the brake and clutch lines be
re-connected (if necessary) without having to bleed the
system afterwards? ... if it can't be done "simply" i'll just
         live with it!!!!!!!!!!!!

and who has some of those parts if it CAN be done WITHOUT
         bleeding the system?
