No kiddin', Bob...

...seriously? 4 & 5? Glad they're OK. In
a way, smart little kids. I was about 9
when I drove my Dad's '49 Chevy into
the back wall of our gargage after my
li'l brother and I washed it for him while
he was away! He was not appreciative.

But we never again could find those keys
again 'til we "grew up"!

There are tragedies every day. It's even
more tragic when little kids get needlessly
killed or hurt 'cause some adult decided
to drop off for a few beers before heading
home or whatever and couldn't drink
"responsibly" within his limitations, etc.

I mean I am neither pro nor anti-gun. I
am law abiding, I guess. Guns are being
made more safe today to limit risk of
mis-use or accident, just as mfgs. are
doing with motor vehicles and other
devices.

But we will never cure the "loose nut"
behind the wheel (or behind the trigger)
and parents must take responsbility for
themselves and their kids instead of
of blaming others.

The 4 year old knew he had done wrong
by accidentally shooting his little friends?
Dumbest thing I ever heard in my life.
Yeah, I'm sure he grasps the FULL
implications of the whole thing. Just
like the adult who left the loaded gun
around to be picked up by a 4 year old.

This "demonzing" by the few events
that are bound to happen in life in
general is not impressive. How many
little kids are killed or injured in cars (or whatever) every year or by
plain (some-
times unintended) child abuse?

Sure it's a tragedy....it'a always a
tragedy when we have innocent little
guys involved.

Now we have NAMBLA to
contend with! And the ACLU wanting
13 year old kids to have authority over
their sex lives with older adults.

The dangers to kids
by irresponsible adults continues in
a new vein!

Thank God I grew up back in the
50's - 60's when the majority of adults in general were just better
behaved and
apparently, generally more responsible
in taking care of and "watching out" for
kids...all kids.
