Tommy,

Kinda a WAG, as I don't have any Ford books with me, but I would think a 2.8 
Cologne V6, German made. Pretty good little motor. Probably out of a Capri 
74-78 or Mustang II. 74-78.  Fox Bodied cars 79-81; 83-1985  in Ranger's and 
Bronco II's

A great source of hop up parts for these engines, and any Ford 4 cyl and V6, 
and someone who can positively identify it, is a company called Racer Walsh.
