That's how I did the entire body and suspension of my 71 Midget, I had
it submerged up to about 6 inches below the bottom of the door handles
for 2 weeks...... It came apart really easy!! I wasn't sure whether
the floors were going to need replacing when I started, but after I
pulled it out of the tank I had my answer...The floors were gone.
Although, next time, I think I'll take the rear out before I dip a
whole car!!! What a mess!
Actually, Kathy won't let me use "her" pool, so I built a BIG box and
lined it with plastic sheeting. I left one end open and pushed the car
into the box then closed it up and filled it with water. Now I just use
a kiddie pool to do fenders, bonnets and just about anything else that
can be unbolted from the car.
