I have had good results with a torch. Melt that sucker out!
Or try what I try first before i melt it out.
Drill 2 small holes in the nylon guide, insert a coarse thread screw in 
each hole. Try prying out with a claw hammer. Sometimes it works.
And that is the easy part.
Wait till you try to get the second circlip out 1/2 way down the bore ;)
8d finish nails on one of those replaceable tipped circlip removal tools 
works sometimes for that. But you need old nails because the new nails 
just bend if you look at them wrong.
